We would like to welcome our newest participant the RIPE NCC (AS25152) to the Rheintal IX!
From now on, the RIPE NCC operates its own K-DNS root server (ns1.at-fkt.k.ripe.net) directly in the Rhine Valley IX peering LAN, which drastically reduces the response times of queries to the DNS root zone for our peering participants.

The hardware required by RIPE was set up at the Rheintal IX site in Feldkirch, for which we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved and our supporters! The service is now available for all our routeserver peers.
