The Rheintal Internet Exchange is a neutral Internet Exchange Point in the Rhine Valley and Lake Constance region with locations in Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany and Switzerland. Rheintal IX is operated by the non-profit Rheintal IX Association, which pursues the goal of providing a regional platform for the exchange of internet network traffic between organizations, internet service providers and content providers. Rheintal IX receives support from various partners and sponsors within the region.

The network traffic handled via the Rheintal IX is exchanged via short paths directly in within the Rhine Valley and Lake Constance region. This represents a clear advantage in terms of connection quality and cyber-resilience. For companies and end users, the advantages of the Rheintal IX are reflected in short connection paths, low packet transit times and high data throughput.
